Sacramento County's ban on plastic bags starts July 1. The unincorporated areas in Sacramento County and the city of Sacramento area included in the ban. So, areas like Elk Grove and Rancho Cordova will still have plastic bags for shoppers. Not sure if your neighborhood is affected? An interactive map is available on the county's website.
