SACRAMENTO — Amazon announced Friday that it plans to bring more than 1,000 jobs to Sacramento in order to staff a new fulfillment center. The Sacramento Business Journal broke news of a planned facility near the Sacramento International Airport in June. Amazon said the new center will be 855,000 square feet, and will be used to ship smaller items like books and toys. This fulfillment center is the latest of Amazon’s additions in the region, with other facilities in Patterson and Tracy.
